DH, Friends and I were in Fort Lauderdale for 3 nights pre-cruise... So what did we do but eat. This was our main choice because they served tapa's in which I just love. I can get a little taste of all different things and to surprise us all it was two for one! We ordered Brussel Sprouts, Chicken Wings, Edamame and Pork Sliders.. Everything was delicious. Hope to go to this place again on my next pre-cruise stay in Fort Lauderdale!
Nice place for lunch on Las Olas Blvd. they were offering from the breakfast, brunch and lunch menu so enough to pick from. My wife had the smoked salmon on a bagel and I had the snapper fish tacos. Both were very tasty and plentiful. Waiter was Daniel and very attentive and personable. Order came out in a very reasonable amount of time for the full house that was there. Worth a return trip to try their dinner menu.
This place is really high on ambience. The lay out is pretty great with big wooden tables spread out over a large outside area with beautiful lattices with hanging vines. The food was pretty great too. The cauliflower and fried calamari sticks were especially good. The cauliflower was tender (without being overly so) with cheese (I think freshly shaved Parmesan?) on top. The calamari tasted so fresh and the batter for frying was delicious as well as the dipping sauce. Service was hit or miss. It took a while to get someone to attend to our table. An order of a dish that we put in didn't end up coming and after we had finished all of our other plates (after about 1/2 hour of putting in the order) we told our server to cancel it. The manager did come to our table and apologize. That was helpful. All in all this is a sweet place for tapas and atmosphere.
We stumbled upon this place after strolling the Las Olas Art Fair. I was immediately drawn to the adorable outdoor patio, and there was a good crowd still there from brunch. I ordered the lamb burger sans bun, which was served with goat cheese and a sweet sauce, and came with a side salad. The lamb was tasty but a bit dry. My husband ordered the skirt steak, and it was served with a spicy chimichurri sauce...so yummy! I definitely had food envy. I would like to check this place out for brunch on my next visit.
Sweet Nectar was awesome. The service was great and the food was even better. I definitely would recommend to anyone who's in the area. My wife and I were just walking around and she saw how green and open the restaurant was. So I knew we were going to end up stopping. They also have happy hour from 3-7 which is a huge plus when you're on a budget. So I got drinks and good food for a great price. Overall great experience!
